Today, a young multifaceted artist named Bashi Bright, also known as Brido, celebrates his birthday. Born on October
1st, 2000, in Shishong General Hospital, Bashi’s life has been a symphony of melodies and rhythms that
have shaped his journey.
From the moment he first heard Michael Jackson’s iconic tunes, Bashi felt an unbreakable bond with
music. Growing up in Cameroon, his childhood was filled with the sounds of MJ, Celine Dion, Ed Sheeran,
Justin Bieber, and Bruno Mars. These artists provided him with solace and inspiration, guiding him
through life’s ups and downs.
At the age of 15, amidst various challenges, Bashi found refuge in music and painting. He began writing
his own songs, encouraged by the praise of his siblings. Inspired by Shawn Mendes’ rise to fame, he
persuaded his initially hesitant father to buy him a guitar. This marked a pivotal moment in his life, as he
embarked on a self-taught journey through YouTube tutorials, expanding his musical horizons and
embracing African artists like Omah Lay, Rema, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.
In 2022, Bashi stepped into a recording studio for the first time, guided by his uncle, a sound engineer.
Despite initial hurdles, he persevered, learning to produce, record, and mix his own music. With his father’s unwavering support, Bashi now creates music daily, constantly striving to improve and reach
new heights.
Bashi’s music transcends genres, aiming to connect with people from all walks of life. His art, inspired by
his surroundings and experiences, serves as a remedy for both himself and his audience. Through his
music and paintings, he aspires to inspire, uplift, and provide solace to others, sharing the “food for the
soul” that has nourished him.
Today, as Bashi celebrates his birthday, he looks forward to exciting projects with BotangRecords and
invites everyone to join him on his artistic journey. His passion for music and art continues to grow, and
he is eager to share it with the world.
