St. Michael, MN, December 9, 2024 – BotangRecords is thrilled to introduce our youngest sensation, Angel Akong, with an emotional tribute to the late South African artist, Bulelwa Mkutukana, forever known in our hearts as Zahara.
Inspired by Zahara’s timeless music, Angel’s passion for singing blossomed from an early age, listening to Zahara’s soulful melodies with her mother and siblings. Tragically, Zahara passed away on December 11, 2023, leaving a deep sense of loss in Angel’s musical journey. Despite this void, Angel is determined to honor her idol by continuing her legacy through music.
A teaser of the tribute will be released tonight, with the full video premiere set for December 11, 2024, commemorating Zahara’s first anniversary in heaven. This tribute is more than a cover; it’s a continuation of Zahara’s legacy through the voice of a new generation.
