The commitments that govern our donations, data, programs and governance as a Minnesota 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Our policies
We collect only the information you give us, name, email, phone and message when you contact us, subscribe or donate. We never sell or rent personal information. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, and you may ask us to delete your details by emailing us.
Donations to BotangRecords, a Minnesota 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 99-0462963), are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Gifts are used for artist mentorship, cultural education and youth programs. If a donation was made in error, contact us within 30 days and we will refund it.
Shop purchases support our programs. Unworn merchandise may be returned within 30 days of delivery for an exchange or refund of the item price. Digital music sales are final. Email us with your order number to start a return.
Our youth programs run with supervised sessions, adult leads who are screened before working with minors, and written parental consent for participation, photography and recording. Concerns can be reported confidentially to our leadership by email.
Board members and staff disclose any financial or personal interest in a transaction with the organisation and step out of decisions where a conflict exists. Disclosures are reviewed annually.
We keep records of income and expenditure for every program, file the required annual returns, and share program and financial summaries with funders and partners on request.
Everyone in our spaces (artists, staff, volunteers, partners and audiences) is treated with respect. Harassment, discrimination and abuse of any kind end participation in our programs.
